King Juan Carlos I of Spain - Club of Rome; Order o/t Garter; Order o/t Golden Fleece; 1001 Club
Juan Carlos I (baptized as Juan Carlos Alfonso Víctor María de Borbón y Borbón-Dos Sicilias; born January 5, 1938, Rome, Italy) is the reigning King of Spain.
On 22 November 1975, two days after the death of Francisco Franco, Juan Carlos was designated King according to the law of succession promulgated by Franco. He successfully oversaw the transition of Spain to a constitutional monarchy. Polls from 2000 show that he is widely approved of by Spaniards. Juan Carlos's titles include that of King of Jerusalem (disputed among others), as successor to the royal family of Naples. He is also a descendant of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom through his grandmother, Victoria Eugenie; of Louis XIV of France through the House of Bourbon; of the Emperor Charles V, who belonged to the Habsburg dynasty of the Holy Roman Empire; of the House of Savoy of Italy; etc.
His name, while rarely anglicised, is rendered as John Charles Alphonse Victor María of Bourbon (and Bourbon-Two Sicilies). He was given these names after his father (Juan de Borbón), grandfather (Alfonso XIII) and maternal grandfather (Prince Carlos de Borbón-Dos Sicilias).

International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation - King Juan Carlos of Spain is the patron of this organization. Carlos is a founder and honorary president of WWF-Spain and has recently been accused of being an overly aggressive hunter, not paying attention to the age of an animal, if it's pregnant, or the amount he shoots (5). Besides being a member of the 1001 Club, King Carlos is a member of the Knights of Malta and very close to Opus Dei. He has been hunting with George H.W. Bush (another Knight of Malta) and other heads of state.
